Poppy Cottage Guest House is a family run B&B, situated in the village of Carleton-in-Craven, just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and within comfortable, level walking distance of the town and all its amenities.   Located in a beautiful rural setting with stunning views across the Aire Valley into Skipton and the hills and moors surrounding the town.  

Poppy Cottage, is the original farm cottage to Ivy Cottage Farm, making a traditional 'Dales Longhouse' and is believed to date back to the late 16th Century. 

The cottage, which is internally linked to our home, has its own private entrance, stairs, guest lounge, dining room and private decked south facing gardens, along with ample private parking for all our guests. 

Guests will enjoy the privacy of the cottage yet benefit from the service provided by ourselves Steve and Sally. In particular the 'Hearty' Yorkshire breakfast we serve using produce from our outdoor reared pigs and eggs from our hens, all served in what was the original farm kitchen with its stunning inglenook fireplace.

Ivy Cottage Farm, with the lovely Poppy Cottage, is now more of a small holding.  Home to our ducks, pigs and chickens, with wonderful open countryside to the rear and views stretching across the valley into the town.
